Tawanda and her staff are kind, attentive, and professional, making the transition flawless. The daily schedule keeps mom busy all day and she is "matched" with comparable peers allowing her to interact in all the daily activities at her level. Mom is well taken care of and very happy and that is what matters most!
- GMGeorge MulhollandNov 26, 20255.0A year and a half ago we needed to look for a memory/safe care facility for our Aunt who was struggling with dementia. We shopped around and settled on the Arbors in Islandia. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable on how to deal with loved ones with dementia and alzheimer's. They keep folks engaged with games, visits from musicians and other activities. To see our Aunt smile when we visited her was one of the best feelings since we knew she was happy being there. They have a doctor visit each week and keep you up to date with your loved ones health status. All the staff especially Traci and Tawanda are awesome. If you ever have to make the hard and difficult decision of transitioning a loved one to a care facility, I would suggest bringing them to the Arbors in Islandia. You won't regret it. They care.

A beautiful place, maintained and they stay on top of redecorating. Every worker is pleasant, patient and extremely helpful. They made this transition so much easier for me.

I could not ask for a better place for him, especially during Covid when families were not allowed in the facility to be with their loved ones. They treat my father like the King that he is! I can't say enough about their beautiful, clean, well kept property and the attention the staff gives my father. They honesty treat him like family.
