***I had to come back to edit my review now that my grandmother was transferred out of Schofield that this is actually NOT a place I would recommend sending your loved one. It turns out during the several weeks my grandmother was in their care, they never once helped her brush her teeth. They lost her clothes and all of her toiletries that were brought in. And worst of all, the social worker AMANDA treated my family with blatant disrespect. She refused to meet face to face with my mother and made the process of transferring my grandmother out as difficult as possible. She treated us terribly and I hope she reconsiders her line of work*** Firstly, the place could use some sprucing up and maybe some renovations to brighten things up. But I have to say, my grandmother is at Schofield for rehab and I found the staff to be very kind and attentive and I feel good about her being there. The aide came in her room several times during my visit with her to check on her and was prompt in assisting her roommate when she needed a hand. I think Schofield is a decent place!

I visited my friend today at Schofield and want to commend Michael, who brought the dinner food tray to room 232. He was kind and caring, helped her set up the drinks and spoke so kindly. Being observant he noticed that she had spilled milk from her lunch in another part of the room. He went out and got a rag to wipe it up and cleaned the area. This is an individual who could have looked the other way and said 'not my job'. Instead, he took the initiative to consider her personal needs. Compliments to Michael, and the residents and management are lucky to have such a caring individual. Anne

Do not place your loved one here. My father, who unfortunately is a resident here, fell in bathroom after going by himself because they never answer the call bell. He had to crawl across the floor to call for help. I called nursing supervisor Nicole for update and to express my concerns, and she told me “He has every right to fall.” She also very rudely informed me no further interventions would implemented to ensure he does not fall again. She then advised me to contact my father’s wife who could have told me this. I have never been spoken to so unprofessionally by a healthcare worker. They clearly do not care about my father’s safety and well being but have no problem taking my family’s money every month. Do your loved one a favor and find another facility.

Abhorrent. Avoid taking any loved ones here at ALL cost. The staff never check on my grandpa and he had a fall. The staff never answer his calls when he needs help to go to the bathroom, and needed to try to go on his own. The “nurse” Nicole ignored multiple calls then told my mom that my grandpa “had the right to fall.” What does that even mean? How DARE healthcare “professionals” treat and talk about their patients this way? I have never, ever heard of such a thing in my life. This is absolutely insane. The staff has been repeatedly rude and disgusting towards a worried family. If I had any power to get my grandpa to somewhere even HALFWAY decent, I would. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The staff should be ashamed of themselves to treat people this way. So much money paid for staff to tell our family that my grandpa can just go and fall because they won’t go check on him. I’m convinced that this place just hired anyone who applied, who have no healthcare training at all.
