One factor of choosing CAS is the after school program they are partnered with (Champions). They said during our first day of meeting, that they are flexible with change in schedule. As long as it is locked in by Wednesday, week before. That is not the case. My husband and I have a weird schedule at work that requires alternating days of the week. So every week, we will have a different day that we needed Champions. Ever since school started(2 months now), my child would either be taken to Champions even tho he is not scheduled, or will not be accepted because “he is not on the schedule”. Everytime they take my child on the days he shouldnt, it would take few teachers to try to find where he is. So this gave me an idea to message the teacher and remind of my child’s plan for the week. (Teachers dont have access to the Champions’ schedule). Today my child was supposed to go, but the teacher was diffrently. I told the teacher that my child is definitely on the schedule and sent a screenshot of it. To be honest, I think the school should probably get a different before/after school to partner with. Knowing the school has a good reputation out in the community. I will pull my child out of this program. I do not recommend Champions. They dont give peace of mind to parents. And also, my child had complained about a student picking on him, told the Champions personel but did not do anything about it.

My son seems to enjoy his before school program at Champions for the most part. He has had issues with other kids picking on him and the staff doesn't seem to do anything to help. My complaints though mostly have to do with their customer service and billing. Firstly, their cost is almost double what you pay for before and after school care at The Boys & Girls club. Ok, fine. I got a contract when i signed my son up at the beginning of the school year and come Jan they have raised the prices already. Then, one week there was a holiday on Mon, a 2-hour delay one day and a snow day (cancelled school) all in the same week. On top of that, my son was ill one day that week as well. I understand having to pay for the day my son was ill, but essentially i ended up paying $35 that week for my son to spend 45 mins in their before school program on one day! Ridiculous! I tried contacting them for a credit considering the holiday and snow days and was told they wouldn't work with me. I dont care if it would have been just a few #x27;s, anything would have helped especially for a single working mom with no financial support outside my own income. The fact that they just don't seem to care about the families they "serve" (probably because they know we pretty much have no choice) is what bothers me. I would NOT recommend Champions to other families as a result of my experiences.

Very disappointed that Champions changed their pricing at some point between the start of the school year and now and did not send out any type of notice. See attached documentation of pricing sheet indicating 4-5 days $52 per week (that I printed out at the beginning of the school year). Was surprised to see that I received a $10 charge for the 5th day my son went. When contacting Family Support I was told to look at the website for pricing. I did and low and behold the pricing had changed! (Now 4 days is $52 and 5 days is $62). Never received any notification of such and now they are refusing to refund my $10! This is DISHONEST and not the way to conduct a business. I wish there was another option besides these scammers for childcare after school.
On another note, they charge $165 per week in the Summer/ Winter Break/Spring Break! They don't do anything with your children, except throw on a movie, very little time outside. City of Reno Vacation Station takes your kids on all types of field trips and have daily planned activities for only $105 per week! Champions is merely a babysitter that sits on the couch, watches TV and eats all your food.
