Sadly, city has approved the build disregarding the community rural interests. Destruction of the community by severely increasing traffic, causing extreme light diffusion, extra dust and air polutants, not performing the required tortoise and ground owl BLM inspections prior to breaking ground (no permits can be found for this btw) is not a reasonable choice by any/all involved. Very sad.

- EDErin DeLoeSep 5, 20251.0It’s unfortunate that decision makers within the church prioritize an enormous building over building goodwill within communities. This could have been a great opportunity to bring a community together, but because of the church’s actions with regard to zoning changes and refusing to work with residents, it has only caused division wherever temples are being built. I do hope some changes are eventually made and that the church will start doing the right thing for not only their members, but for communities across the country. There is no reason for this division to continue.
