  At one of the most difficult times in our lives, Hillsborough Funeral Home offered not just a service, but true compassion, professionalism, and dignity. Coming from out of town and navigating both emotional and financial hardship, we were met with kindness and patience every step of the way. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel supported and respected. They helped us create a memorial that honored our loved one with the integrity and warmth he deserved. Every detail—from the preparation to the ceremony—was handled with care. What stood out most was the way they treated us not like clients, but like people—grieving, overwhelmed, and in need of understanding. As a single mother, my finances are limited, but nonetheless, they treated us with the utmost respect. That level of humanity cannot be bought, and I am sincerely grateful. My son of 26 lost his father too early. His father's trial with cancer was incredibly difficult and that we can memorialize him with respect and honor means so very much.   Everything and everyone was just what my family needed for my father's funeral. Mike, Jeff, Brian, Paul & Hugh are each knowledgeable and professional individuals who each seem like they can't not want to help. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jeff - he was so patient and kind and was always available when helping us plan my father's service. And at the service everyone was just great. Paul & Hugh were there to help ease the burden by taking care of everyone there with a sense of empathy I found amazing. Solemn for those who needed it and light banter for those looking for that. Dotting the i's and crossing the t's to make sure a funeral runs smoothly is one thing (and thanks for that by the way) but doing it with such care, compassion and consideration is truly another. We are very thankful for them and highly recommend Hillsborough Funeral Home.

  The staff at Hillsborough Funeral Home are consummate professionals. From start to finish, their professional and dignified services for my Father were impeccable. All of the staff were easy to deal with and compassionate to my family and friends. Thank you so much for being not only a phenomenal Funeral Home, but a pillar of our community.

  When a member of my immediate family died recently, we turned to Hillsborough Funeral Home. Everyone has heard horror stories involving funeral homes, but we received only courteous, respectful professionalism from Jeff and his co-workers. Hillsborough Funeral Home had to coordinate with a funeral home and cemetery in another state; my family member had to be escorted to that other state to be buried, a 5+ hour drive away. There were a lot of details here, and it would have been easy to make mistakes. But there were none. Jeff and his colleagues were efficient, reliable, and kind, and it made a hard time just a little easier.
