  Suburban Hills School has been an incredible experience for our family. From day one, every staff member has gone above and beyond to make both students and parents feel welcome & supported. You can tell that Dale & Cassie genuinely care about the students & their families as they are both always willing to go above & beyond to answer questions or offer help. Not to forget mentioning, but Dale & Cassie know each student by name, which is truly unbelievable to me! As a working parent, I really appreciate the extended hours. They’ve made our daily routine so much easier, and it’s clear the school put a lot of thought into offering a schedule that supports families. The classrooms are always clean, organized, and well maintained, creating an environment where children can focus while also having fun. My son has been attending Suburban Hills for two school years now, and the difference it has made in him is amazing. He has learned so much already and as a parents I feel that he is already beyond his years academically. His confidence has grown, he’s excited about learning, and he comes home eager to share everything he has done for the day. I’m incredibly grateful for the Suburban Hills team. It’s a wonderful place for kids to grow, learn, and most of all shine. The Alcaro family highly recommends!

  Choosing Suburban Hills has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our daughter. I’ll be honest — the first few days were tough. There were lots of tears and a lot of nerves (mostly mine!), but within just two weeks the entire staff made her feel completely at home. Their patience, kindness, and genuine care helped her adjust so quickly that she now waves goodbye to me with a smile when I drop her off. What truly stands out is how much she’s learning and growing every day. She comes home excited to show us new songs, signs, and skills, and it’s clear the teachers put so much thought into their activities. Her language has expanded, her social skills have blossomed, and she’s becoming more confident and curious by the day. The environment is warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive — it has truly become one of her favorite places to be. We are so grateful for the entire team at Suburban Hills for making this transition such a positive experience. Highly recommend!

  We recently moved to Chester and enrolled our 3 year old daughter in the Fall. From the initial tour, we felt right at home and noticed our daughter felt equally excited and comfortable. She had some struggles in her previous daycare, but since going to Suburban, has really thrived. She is eager to go to school every day, loves her teacher (shout out to Ms. Kylie!), and has made a ton of friends. It is an extremely nurturing environment, where all the staff, including the director, make it a point to get to know the children. We have also been pleasantly surprised to see our daughter recognizes and engages with other children that are not in her class when we visit the neighborhood park. We have truly had a wonderful experience at Suburban and highly recommend it to any families in the Chester/ Mendham area.

  My son started here in August and my family has had a wonderful experience. The school puts the kids first (and this is evident by the art on the walls, a wonderful selection of outdoor toys, etc). We are routinely invited to bring snacks for holidays and birthdays and attend events like the Halloween parade. I feel very involved and connected to my son’s teachers and he has grown incredibly (speech and personality-wise) during his time here! The staff is deeply caring and attentive. The moment you walk into the building you can feel the passion there. Dale, who has run the school for 30 years, is truly an expert in childhood education. Her level of experience is hard to find! There’s a reason Suburban is one of the most highly recommended schools in the area.

  All four of my children have attended Suburban Hills, for various camps school and daycare services and my only wish is that we started there sooner. There is no greater feeling as a Mom than dropping your child off with people who love your child as their own. Who truly treat each child like family. Even years after my two eldest attended for camp, they are greeted by the teachers with their first names and genuine care for how they’re doing. When I drop my child off, I know that they will be loved cared for and have such a great time. The air at Suburban Hills is fun, good learning, and the whimsical nature of celebrating each holiday and each non-holiday with joy. While, I could go on and write a novel about each individual component that I am grateful for, I will end with the statement that there is no place quite like Suburban Hills and I will never be able to fully repay my gratitude. One day when my children have outgrown Suburban Hills I will cry, but I will never forget the love for our family.
