We have had a great experience at the Learning Grove Academy. Our kiddo started last fall at the age of 4 months old. Every team member seems to know his name & they are highly communicative through the app with updates and photos. Special shoutout to Ms. Chloe in Dreamers 2 for investing in our son and his growth! Our son loves her & I can tell how much she truly enjoys caring for children. Our son has higher skincare and diet needs and the team has helped us navigate those challenges.

My daughter has had a wonderful year attending preschool. They are a very creative center under new management the past few years. My daughter plays school and pretends to be the teachers giving out proud of you tickets. You can tell they put a lot of effort every day to help children live out their creativity with structure and routine.

Edit Add: FBs Omaha Area Moms Group has an admin tied to this place. Any form of concerns from mothers about the place gets deleted. Only positive are the teachers and activities/trips offered outside normal care/curriculum. Directors don’t seem to have it together to run facility due to constant illnesses/health issues and misinformation. Was told at tour that Toddlers are 18M-2yrs, but those walking after 12M will join Toddlers. Shortly into starting a few teachers left, and noticed my walking 13M along with couple others similar in age moved to Infants. Short staffing I understand to make it easier, but the concern here was a change in weekly rate when they moved my child shouldn’t affect the parents aka clients. Cameras for facility only, no access to parents. Never got my passcode to door activated after being there little over 2 months. Main concern is health and hygiene practices. Starting daycare for first time I already expected son getting sick at least 1-2 times a month till immunity is built. First couple months was out of daycare due to illness every other week, and final month was Norovirus for 2wks, attend for a day or two, out for another week, attend for a day, and was sick for another two weeks. This was very concerning to pediatrician as well since he is pretty healthy and should’ve only happened 1-2 times each month as I expected. In fact, he is apart of a medical study requiring healthy individuals that’s constantly monitored between all developmental checkups since birth AND blood is tested every time to ensure any other internal changes which he is still apart of today. Which all these illness had to be reported to the study with knowledge of daycare location, and hasn’t had problems since starting new daycare which they also had to know. Also want to note, that one of these instances during that final month I witnessed one of the mothers drop off their sick kid. The toddler was he was wailing, sweating, coughing, and the mother told the teacher “He has a cough, do you guys have honey that could be added to a drink for that?” That should’ve been the moment to evaluate as the State requires if an adult or child has more then 2 symptoms they must be sent home until well enough to return. That day I picked my son who was miserable with a 103 temp.

The director is rude and unprofessional. I have had my children in this center less than 2 weeks and already had 2 confrontations with her. She does not seem to realize that parents are clients and what keeps her in business. The teachers however have been very good and that's what counts.
