Not welcoming at all. They claim to follow Jesus but they contradict everything he stood for. They spread lies about people. They support and promote liars while they silence and banish victims (make them stay at home) to protect how people view the church. They won’t allow anything to tarnish peoples perception of the church. They use guilt, and shame to manipulate people. They blame victims. They tell people they’re not allowed to make comments in Sunday school classes. They tell people you’re not allowed to talk with your best friends about church problems because it may cause them to think negatively about the church. A very common theme is protect the churches fake facade of perfection at all cost. They discriminate against people with disabilities or people who are different. They tell people to sit in the back if they make unwanted noise, even if the noise is uncontrollable due to a disability. They even ban people from sitting in the chapel if their disability causes unwanted noise. They judge those who don’t live up to their strict standards. If you don’t fit the perfect mold you are viewed as bad and unworthy.(for example if you say swear words, if you dress immodestly, drink coffee, alcohol, smoke, etc.) They contradict Jesus’ most simple teaching to leave the 99 to help the one. Instead they sacrifice the one to save the 99. They block problems from ever being heard by higher up leaders. The only reason you see so many 5 star reviews is because a while ago the church asked the members to go on Google and give a review. Since members of the LDS church are warned to never say anything negative about the church or it’s leaders, everyone naturally gave glowing reviews. But mine is an honest review based on my experience attending this congregation for the past 2 years.

The people here are so kind. Great programs for children and youth. We have 6 small children and our kids love going to their classes and to singing time. The teachers prepare such fun things. They always seem to know who needs help in the community and never hesitate to serve.
Last Christmas (during the pandemic) we volunteered to be Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus for the Drive-Through Charlotte Nativity festival that was at this building. It was an amazing experience. So many people of different faiths came and donated to the three organizations that the Church of Jesus Christ was supporting. It is just so nice to be surrounded by good people!
