- AMAshley MarieAug 19, 20191.0I am not going to say Joanne did not have moments of compassion and understanding- but now that I have been working with another counselor- I can say this woman was not helpful. Extremely judgemental- I went to a group a few times instead of seeing her and she was angry about it when I went to see her- I felt attacked- if you give an opinion about someone she knows- and she doesn’t like it- believe me she will let you know in a not so nice way. Extremely opinionated- it got to the point where I would just tell her all was good in my world when it was not. The counselor I have now makes me feel so much more comfortable- I actually have made so much more progress: Joanne is a good person do not get me wrong- I just feel like I am getting my money’s worth more now. I never feel judged with my new counselor even for a second- he never makes me feel uncomfortable even in the slightest. Joanne made me believe that counseling was not for me- but that is not true
