My beautiful 3 year old daughter passed away from chronic kidney disease in December of 2016. We had known the end was coming, so we had quietly discussed our wishes for end of life and postmortem care, but had not made any finite plans before the time came. That night, hospice gave us a list of local funeral homes and we chose Lowe-Neddo. We were allowed to drive my sweet girl to the funeral home in our personal vehicle in the middle of the night, with an escort from hospice. Lately, I have been seeing social media posts about something called a “cuddle cot” for mothers who have stillbirths, neonatal loss, and infant loss. The cot cools the baby, allowing mom to stay with them longer to grieve. This makes me think of Michael at Lowe-Neddo. The night I lost my daughter and brought her to him, he turned down the thermostat extremely low in a room in the funeral home and allowed myself and my immediate family to stay with my daughter. We slept on the floor and he brought us breakfast biscuits in the morning. He knew I was freaked out about leaving my daughter, because i never really had in her lifetime. I couldn’t stand not knowing exactly where she was at all times, so Michael promised me he would not move by baby at all when I was away - and he didn’t. He allowed us to have lots of private time with her during his after hours. She was in Michal’s care for a few days before being cremated. He even let my family ride along in the van when he drove my baby on her last ride to the crematorium. I am posting this review 9 years late, but I will NEVER forget the level of genuine kindness and care Michael provided my daughter, myself, and the rest of our family.

I do not recommend this funeral home to any family. I went through a horrible experience. Find a place where your wishes, opinions are honored. An important painful moment should be respected.

My family used Lowe-Neddo(Michael)at the advice of my family’s church. What a mistake this was! They have created the most unnecessary stress during a very difficult time. They have dragged their feet from the very beginning to complete the simplest tasks. Only unprofessionalism is what my family has experienced from them! We have to call them continuously and follow up on things that WE PAID THEM them to do. My mother in law was cremated in April and we STILL do not have the plaque to go on her ashes!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!

I met Michael Neddo today when we were doing a community memorial for a person that lived in Matthews. Mike was handling this person’s funeral arrangements. I have to say how nice it was that Mike showed up to our memorial. He brought a guest book and stand for the community to sign and stayed around talking with everyone.
What an impression he made on me with his kind gesture of taking time out of his day to stop by.
Thank you for being so kind and caring.
