- SSSuzanne StackFeb 7, 20245.0We finally found out about Seven Homes at a training 5 years ago. At the time we had been fostering for about 12 years and not happy with our agency and thinking about not fostering or relicensing in December when our licenses were to be reinstated again. At the training, we met many families and social workers and Ken Maxwell. Everyone we talked to were HAPPY and so encouraging about being involved in foster care! We left the training rejuvenated and knew we needed to see if we could get involved with fostering for Seven Homes. We prayed about changing agencies for the rest of the weekend, and sent a email to Seven Homes about fostering. We got a quick response and then went in to talk about switching agencies. We were so elated to see how easy it was to switch and started the process . The switch went smoothly and we were relicensed and ready to begin a new journey refreshed and eager. We got a placement shortly after with a critical medical little one and 5 years later we are still fostering . The agency cares so much not only for the little ones in care, but the foster parents as well. They give opportunities for training with free care for the kids, date nights for the parents and all kinds of activities for the kids and foster parents through out the year. They always remember the biological children in the homes as well. We are so happy to be with Seven Homes and know we have a family of believers behind us cheering us on through the journey!
