Communication is impeccable. They notify me of every diaper change, send me pictures, tell me how much food was eaten, and are really on top of everything.
- AKA KEOct 17, 20225.0Many awesome things to say about our time at Bright Horizons North Durham! Easy parking, tidy but warm facility, and fun outdoor spaces for the children. The staff and teachers are kind, easy going, helpful, and the children love them! Lots of pictures and videos throughout the day. Healthy lunches and snacks made onsite with great variety. Their schedule is in the sweet spot between structured and freeform. Lots of variety as well - I feel like they were always getting to do new activities. And every week the kids would surprise me with new things they learned. Safe and responsive team. Felt like a community. Highly recommend!
- VFValerie FoxAug 28, 20225.0After the initial couple of years of the pandemic, we decided to reenroll our kiddos into daycare. We heard great things about Bright Horizons so we took a chance! It was one of the best decisions we've made thus far as parents. Catherine, the Director, is simply phenomenal! She is incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and empathetic to the parent and teacher experience; she works tirelessly to make sure her teachers/staff are supported and parents are informed and involved. The facility is adorable, cozy and warm, stocked with great learning and experienced-based tools and materials, and facilitates community and connection. We were previously in a daycare setting where the older classes did a lot of worksheets to help with kindergarten prep. Bright Horizons goes above and beyond and has a great grasp on the developmental process; they know how to use both structured and unstructured play to foster learning. Our youngest can write her first and last name, knows a lot of numbers, the months of the year, and the list is endless. I feel incredibly confident in her readiness for traditional school. I am beyond grateful for the experiences we had at Bright Horizons and I cannot rate them highly enough!

Because of an awkward situation with him being a foster child (now adopted) they would not let my older son ( also at BH) visit with him during a temporary change in custody. This lead to high stress to both children, They also repeatedly gave my lactose intolerant son milk. The Pre-K teachers overall were great but I do not trust the administration.
