I recently visited Waltonwood Providence to spend time with a resident who is very dear to my heart. I make it a priority to visit as often as life allows, and while my personal visit with my loved one was lovely, I left feeling deeply unsettled by what I experienced within the building.
Over the course of several visits, I have begun to notice concerning behavior that goes far beyond minor issues. During this most recent visit, I overheard multiple CNAs speaking inappropriately—not only about each other, but also about residents. The language used was vulgar, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable in a setting where compassion and respect should be the standard.
At one point, I heard a CNA on the phone openly discussing a resident’s condition in a joking and dismissive manner, laughing with a friend about something that should be treated with dignity and privacy. Stating how she wouldn’t be able to get through her shift without her “Happy Juice”That moment, in particular, was incredibly disturbing.
Additionally, I have overheard staff members speaking negatively about leadership, specifically mentioning that the executive director, John . As well as the RN Brittany gossiping about other employees currently working , but ones who have been let go as well. Whether these claims are true or not, the fact that such conversations are happening so openly in the workplace speaks volumes about the environment.
I truly want to love Waltonwood, and I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt. However, I cannot ignore what I have consistently heard within these walls. It leaves me feeling ashamed, uncomfortable, and honestly embarrassed. Most of all, it makes me worry—if this is how residents are spoken about openly, what might be happening behind closed doors? I can’t help but wonder if my loved one could be subjected to the same level of disrespect.
I hope this review is taken seriously, because the residents in your care deserve dignity, professionalism, and kindness at all times.

Our Levine JCC Oasis program spent a wonderful morning and afternoon at Waltonwood Providence today. We had lunch, took a tour, and watched a movie there. The staff, especially Cara and Matt, couldn't have been any more accommodating. We appreciate the efforts made by Waltonwood Providence today. Their hospitality was outstanding.

My mother has been at Waltonwood Providence for several years, first in independent living and now in assisted living. The staff have cared for her needs with dignity, value, and cheerfulness. Moving from her home of 40 years was a difficult transition for her, after the loss of her husband, but her caregivers, life enrichment directors, and med-techs always encourage her to stay engaged and active. Mom truly feels loved in their care. She has learned new hobbies and made friends. Mom loves the meals and the culinary team too :) The staff have been exceptional during the covid crisis, and we are grateful for their diligence and believe that they have protected both our Mom and our family's trust in their services.

I don't really want to get in to it, but a member of my family is here. There seems to be a management problem. The staff is just fine. I think the management over the place is not very good, it is not responsive to the needs of residents until you actually have to yell at the management.
