I used to recommend this company, but after the comments made by a manager at the bins, I can no longer recommend this company for employment or donations. The manager said hurtful comments about a veteran with a service connected disability. The comments were hurtful, judgmental, and inappropriate for an manager of Goodwill. The companies core values are to help those in need, those with disabilities, veterans, and people trying to get their life back on track. What I experienced was hurtful. It isn't nice to pass judgement on someone based on assumptions and appearance. Not all service scars are visible and it was a place to shop for someone trying to get their life back on track. It just seems hurtful that a manager at a Goodwill will be rude to a person with a disability who is neurodivergent and trying to get their life back on track. Thank you

I have called corporate multiple times however ever speaking to a team leader is impossible. For 3 days in a row no one answers the Team Leader line. (0). I spoke to Shondra twice and was suppose to get a call back and that hadn't happened. On a positive note store managers have been outstanding to help stop criminals from stealing from the donation bins . The corporate office is suppose to set the example for the stores but if you can't get anyone to answer any day of the week during business hours then there is no reason to have a corporate office talking away funds that could be better distributed to the work for e or someone who actually cares about improving

This is the most organized and well run Goodwill I’ve ever been to. The employees are also extremely friendly and helpful.

Goodwill's Trade School offers opportunities for up to 100 peope a year learn basic trade skills, and then wait 4-5 months for additional training to be career-readied. So glad Home Depot is able to help those that Goodwill is unable to assist. Why do you all advertise as a GED and IT technology on community resource sites if y'all don't offer them? I don't need to go to Wilkinson Boulevard to learn to go to CPCC for help. You have a giant building on Wilkerson that is mostly empty. Just admit what services you can provide (some trade school applicants will get accepted, others are offered jobs as clothes sorters at Goodwill). I think a reorganization of senior management is necessary. In a situation where staff, services, and programs are cut, why donate to Goodwill? There are so many other non-profits that actively try to create workforce development programs, why should I donate to the cause of keeping lights on at an organization that does nothing? If IT classes cost $70g each (per Corolla in Gastonia), and you can't place graduates, why run the program for multiple years?
