Our family is so grateful to Grier Funeral Home for the beautiful service they provided during such a difficult time. They went above and beyond for us, even allowing a double funeral in their chapel and helping us create a touching video tribute that truly honored our loved ones.
Every member of the team, from the staff to the drivers and everyone behind the scenes, was kind, patient, and incredibly supportive. Their compassion and attention to detail made a heartbreaking time feel a little lighter, and we felt cared for every step of the way.
We wholeheartedly recommend Grier Funeral Home to anyone in need of a funeral home that treats your family like their own and makes sure every detail is handled with love and respect.

No Support from the funeral staff, what we ended up with was a do-it-yourself celebration of life service at their chapel
I paid for a service, and I thought we were going to be under the care of a Director, which turned out to be a chaotic day for the family. We were not engaged in a timely or orderly manner to enter the chapel in an orderly manner.
The place was not only disorganized in terms of communicating with family. We were pretty much left to handle things on our own.
Our family had hired an assistant, thank god we did !! Who ended up serving as the IT person IT person and helped in many other areas due to the lack of support from this funeral home for the service because they lacked the ability to accommodate the family with a competent person to handle their antiquated system
We were passed around to different staff members from the beginning. The last gentleman put on a suit for the viewing, but then presented himself in the parking lot to inform us that we were being passed on to someone else and stated he had other work to do.
We were stunned, and we were then at that time informed that we would have to transport the flowers to our home ourselves. He basically said “there are a lot of flowers in there, and we only provide a vehicle for that when we are going to the cemetery”.
They need to understand that times are changing and they need to keep up with the times.
With that issue, we were out in the parking lot, scrambling to find people to haul flowers. Between a family and a few strangers, we got the flowers hauled. It was chaotic and embarrassing for us. And we had family members who had traveled from out of town to miss part of the repass.
At the end of the service, the funeral home representative misrepresented the presentation of a blanket that was created by our graphic artist as a gift to the family, stating it was from the funeral home.
If you are in need consider another funeral home

It has been more than a year since my husband passed (12/8/23), and I still remember the expert care I received from Rev. Humphrey, III and his staff! They were incomparable in their compassion, comfort, and kindness towards me and the family!
From the initial conversation with Rev. Humphrey to the burial, I sensed a genuine understanding, sympathy, and concern for my loss. His knowledge of death, grief, and pain, as well as the impact these emotions can have on families was impressive. I will always remember the Christ-like service Grier Funeral Service provided. Thank you!
