We have a loved one who has been at Touchmark in Helena for 8 years, initially in independent living and currently in assisted living. We also have had other family friends at Touchmark during much of this time.
As a physician, I have had experience with multiple senior living facilities. I can honestly say, although certainly not perfect, Touchmark has exceeded my expectations, and has been phenomenal for our family member and friends. 90+% of the staff are very caring, upbeat, compassionate, professional, and have been responsive to our needs. There are always multiple, diverse activities available for residents to make their lives more stimulating and enjoyable.
Touchmark's handling of the COVID pandemic, although very challenging in a large residential community, was handled as well as I could have expected. I was quite impressed with their transparency, communications to residents and family, and their policies. Joe May, the executive director, did a wonderful job,
Finally, the food at Touchmark is outstanding overall: lots of variety and they are continually adding new items (often after "taste tests" and feedback from residents). Chris, the head chef and manager of all the dining, is personable, talented, and can often be found making the rounds in the dining room, as is done in many fine restaurants. I have personally eaten many times with our family member, in the Bistro and in both dining rooms, and have always had excellent meals. I often joke that I would stay at Touchmark just for the food!
Our family, and our loved one, all agree that Touchmark has been the best choice for her.
