I haven't actually attended this church for a service. My experience came from two missionaries that were, "God sends," named Cole and Allan. They was referred to me from a couple missionaries from Washington. I was homeless and staying in a hotel in St Clair, that's why Cole and Allen was referred to me. I met them at the church on a Thursday afternoon. I was in despair and out of hope, to describe it lightly. Cole and Allen was very eager to meet up and help me anyway they could. They had texted me numerous times just to check up on me. The crazy thing about their texts was, they always came at the perfect time, when I would be at my most down and out depressed state. Those texts no matter how short always began with, "hey Jim, were just checking up on you to see how your doing!" They always lifted my spirits enough to keep me going and gave me the hope I needed. Finally, after numerous cancellations from me we was able to find a time that worked for both us. My first impression of Cole and Allen, was that they was way to young to be able to help me. But, just like Jesus surprises me more times then not, he sent me the exact people who could help me. And that was two very spiritually grounded young men, who had a calmness and patience that only comes when the holy spirit is walking with them. Clearly, that's exactly what the holy spirit is doing with Cole and Allen. Mostly, Cole and I talked about my unfortunate predictament, but Allen's presence and calmness was felt. I was there for about a hour and half, and never once did I feel rushed. I left feeling like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. Just the fact of having somebody listen to me and genuinely care about my well being is what I really needed, and that's exactly what these two super hero missionaries did for me. Cole prayed at the end of the marathon counseling session. That prayer carried allot of weight with the Lord. Actually, so much weight that the very next day, I found a permanent place to live. It's Tuesday now, and I just got a phone call from Cole doing what he does best. And that's making sure I'm ok. I moved to Washington, so Cole referred me to some missionaries that live closer to me. I can't thank these two Dynamic Duo missionaries enough, and of course God Almighty for bringing these two young men into my life when I needed them the most. Thanks Cole and Allen, I'll never forget you! You'll be in my prayers for the rest of my life, that you continue on your journey of being one of gods chosen. And continue helping people like me, who need you more then you'll ever know.
Amen Jim Noack
