  We have had a bad experience at Park Place. Our mom was in memory care .Finding my incontinant mom wet and urine on floor by hospice nurses and our family routinley. Between my family, someone is there 3 days a week and hospice nurses 3 days a week. Constant dirty clothes soiled , piled up in her basket every time we went .We constantly had to ask them to wash her clothes and her washable pad for bed. I found my mom's robe with diareaha in it. My mom has dementia and she had rolled it up and it was smelling bad. No one found it. But it smelled bad in her room all of the time. The food they served them was shriveled and nasty looking. The food in indenpedant and assisted was good though. When we took my mom out about 3 weeks ago there was 19 vacated rooms and 21 rooms with residents . I counted what does that tell you, in an established facility. I agree that The Landing is a great facility and so is Hampton Manor a new facility in Wenzville where we moved our mom after 4 months at Park Place. We continually told Park Place of our dissatisfaction and it didn't change. There is however a new director over Park Place Brent, and he is lovely and seems like he really cares and wants to change things, but it may take some time. Also Corey over activities is awesome and so is Ken the main nurse is awesome. But the overseeing of the CNA's have been severely lacking in the last 4 months before Brent got there. One time I was trying to get out and I looked all over for someone to let me out, so I finally went to the office with frosted glass and knocked and 6 girls in there laughing and looking at their phones. No one to be found on the floor. It's no wonder things we not attended to. I accidentally pressed 5 stars, that was a mistake . I give mememiry care a 3. But I give Ken nurse,Corey activities and the new male director a 5 star. I wanted to add to this that if you or your lived one is in assisted or in independant at Park Pkace, it's seems to be very nice. It's the memory care where you see things lacking. As I stated earlier, I see that Jen, Brent and Corey really ❤

  I am very dissatisfied. The food that is served is cold in assisted living. My mothers room very seldom gets cleaned. I have not ever been able to reach anyone after 8 pm. They are very short staffed with constant turn over. The med techs and aids have been very sweet to mom. But my mother was promised things that the staff turnover is so great that things go by the wayside.

  This seems like a great retirement community for my in-laws. They have the freedom to have their own apartment. They can watch a movie, get their hair done there, go to church, swim, play games, rent out a room for large family gatherings, and get extended care should the need arise.
