  My mom has been at Rivers of Life for almost a year now and we love the staff and she is doing well at age 89. The facility is clean and people are friendly. The food is very good too.

  Whenever sue is around everyone is more stressed, she is rude and should not be working with elderly people. Ignores you and is extremely strict seems to hate everyone. Sheila is not much better but instead of ignoring you she's condescending. Seen nurses yanking on patients without explaining and talking to them and seeing them try to take their hands back and get distressed, they don't talk to people they lug em around like dogs. It's a beautiful place but I don't understand how people are praising the staff, maybe they can't see much since you aren't allowed to visit your loved ones very long at all. Maybe 30 minutes if you're lucky but they'll try to interrupt you and take them early the whole time. Very strict rules that don't allow for the last moments of your loved ones life to be any type of good, it's truly sad and unnecessary. At a certain point, you let them have and do what little they can with what they have left.

  We had a wonderful experience when my Dad lived at Rivers of Life. He came there after being discharged from the hospital. He wanted to go home and was upset about the move, his hair was messy from lying in a hospital bed, and he was unshaven. The moment he arrived the staff made him feel so welcome. They cleaned him up, cut his hair and shaved him; when I visited him later that day I didn’t even recognize him! The transition was much easier than we expected because of the care and kindness of Sue and the nurses. The staff made sure my Dad engaged in activities, got him up out of his wheelchair to dance (and sent me a video), and brought him out to the patio for fresh air and sun, which he really enjoyed. The difficulty of watching him decline was lessened by knowing my Dad was receiving wonderful care and attention and was part of a community. I’m so thankful to Rivers of Life and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for memory care.

  I was greeted by amazing staff with a friendly face and great service. The culture is so vibrant and happy. I recommend this community for anyone looking for assisted living or memory care.
