I have lived in many states and almost all of the major cities you can think of , and I can honestly say this is the absolute best group of government / city employees I've ever seen. I don't really know if people understand the scope of what all they handle here, but they are one office working with many to literally do and accomplish all. Shelly is a phenomenal human being , I wish a consensus would be done and this specific region could be pulled and used as an example of how the rest of the world should operate when dealing with assistance related issues. They do not shame , they do not waste time , they don't have hidden agendas and they definitely don't try to rip families apart , they are 1000% your biggest advocates , and absolutely your biggest champions. Just the kindest most hardworking people you could come across. I am forever grateful for this organization and this town because it is it's own little paradise here and you only need to hop over to one bigger city, just one time , then go through any type of hardship , and see what you get placed with for help. Then you will see this organization and this office specifically is a cut above the rest and they should be an example to all .Thank you for everything 🙏

I read their mission statement. Only problem is, irs not teue. They help some, but not all. My neighbor goes out to eat, shops constantly and chooses not to pay her rent. She recieves a lot of financial support through family and the lds church. She sends money to men in prison, in hopes of findinf a husband. $3000.00 behind on rent. Ucap paid it! I begged and pleaded for help getting a lias of my items from my last residence. I gave them several month time period. I begged & pleaded. I lost a child, i wanted to keep photos of my children. They heard my cries, but laughed. They did nothing to help me. I left everything i owned. Majority of my belongings were brand new. Air conditioners included. But photos of my childrenp- broke my heart. I had to sleep on cement with no pillow or blankets. No food for days. Every time i go in their i feel thw coldness and lack of care. Especially by receptionist.
