My husband was there for 18 nights. My husband said that they didn't do much as far as therapy is concerned, and they wanted to discharge him saying that that was as good as he was going to get. I was going to fight the discharge, but on the same day they said he should go to the ER, where he was subsequently admitted. After he was admitted, I got a call from a social worker there asking if I wanted to hold or release the room. I said that they could release the room, assuming that they would wait until I got his things out of there. When I got there, They had removed all of his belongings and put them in a large bag. I had to sort out both clean and dirty clothes. I called them and told them that his CPAP machine was missing. They insisted that I took him home to clean it. I told them that was on his first day. They insisted that his CPAP machine was not in the room. I told them that it was sitting on the nightstand when we left for the ER. Anyway, They finally found the machine, and when I asked about the mask, they said that it wasn't with the machine. I told them that they would have to find it or replace it. They subsequently found it, and I had to make another trip there. Because they couldn't wait a couple of hours for me to get there to clean out his room, they threw out: a hardcover book of his a knife that I brought for him a Valentine's day gift that I bought for him. When he was about to be discharged from his second hospitalization I insisted on no uncertain terms that he would not be returning to Aurora.

All the staff were great & very kind. Food & food options were great. PT & OT were great. The two issues I have are beyond the control of staff. The recliners in the TCU rooms are too low & light. I was unable to get out of the chair until I bought a very firm 5 inch pad. Also, because of how light it is, it slides when trying to get up. The double rooms are an issue for sound; at least for me. The placement of the TV in 2309B allows the sound to flow right into the buffer area & other person's area. My suite mate was elderly & hard of hearing. I had to listen to her loud TV probably 18 hours a day. Thank you!!

Awful experience, avoid if at all possible. Our mother was there for just over 3 weeks and it was unacceptable from the day she walked in until the day she left. When we arrived the nurse said she didn't know they were getting anyone new that day. We asked Tylenol (for pain) be given 4 times a day which you would assume would be every 6 hours.....on numerous occasions it was more than 13 hours between doses. After a week they placed numerous yellow notices on the walls stating she should have meds at 2pm, 8pm, 2am, 8am. We were concerned that once she started to feel better she would try and get up and walk and asked how they were going to keep her safe. They put 2 monitors on her at night. After 2 weeks, one morning our family friend went to visit and the nurse-aid told her that our mom was found on the floor she must have tried to get up during the night and fell. Our friend called us immediately and WE called and spoke to the nurse on duty. We asked for a supervisor or director to call us and talk through what happened and we still have not received a return call. We have no idea how long she was on the floor and it is 100% unacceptable that 2 hours after the incident we had to hear about it from a visitor and NEVER received a call from anyone at the facility. The only time the nurses came in were to check vitals at the shift change. The PT and OT teams were fine, it was the nursing team that is unacceptable. On her day of discharge the nurse said oh we didn't know she was leaving today. We did not feel that our mom was safe so we were there with her each day from breakfast until she went to bed so we saw exactly what type of care she received. We could not get her out of there fast enough.

I was admitted to Aurora on France after a brief hospital stay for a severe infection on my legs. The nurses have been excellent at taking care of me, addressing any needs I may have and the food was pretty good. They give you alternative meal options in case you don't like what they are serving. Don't listen to the bad reviews. I read them AFTER I was admitted and was quite pleased with the care I received.

I came to Aurora to heal foot fracture in two places. The rehabilitation center provided an exceptional experience marked by the remarkable dedication of its staff. Every interaction reflected genuine kindness, generosity, and deep understanding. The team consistently went above and beyond to ensure comfort, dignity, and encouragement, creating an environment where healing felt both possible and supported. Their compassion was evident not only in the care they delivered but also in the patience and respect they showed each day. This combination of professional excellence and heartfelt humanity made the entire rehabilitation journey that much great. This includes therapy staff, nursing staff, nursing aids staff, social service staff, etc. By the time I was discharged, I felt i could do well going home
