  I ordered a headstone last May (2023) from Duluth Monument Company for my father. This headstone has yet to be installed (June 25, 2024). When I’ve contacted them, they’ve provided me with many excuses for why this headstone continues to be delayed. In August of 2023, I needed to purchase another headstone for my mother. I called Duluth Monument (I had recently ordered my father’s headstone through this company). I found it difficult for them to return my phone calls. My family wanted a bronze headstone set in granite. Duluth Monument stated that this wasn’t allowed in our local cemetery. It was an odd statement, because the style we were requesting was commonly found within our cemetery. After some conversations back-and-forth, I contacted our cemetery’s administrator. The administrator stated the purposed headstone was fine and they had no issues. This made the entire process very confusing. Because of the problems I had experienced with Duluth Monument, I decided to use a different company when ordering my mother’s headstone in August of 2023. My mother’s headstone was delivered and set in the cemetery this past May (2024) without any delays or issues. However, we continue to wait on the headstone ordered for my father through Duluth Monument.

  Dealing with arrangements for burial from 2000 miles away is a daunting challenge, and figuring out what headstone, footstone, or otherwise was high on the list. Our cemetery coordinator referred us to Duluth Monument and Nicole responded to my online form inquiry. I'm so glad she did, as she totally understood how to help someone from afar and ask the right questions to start narrowing down options and pricing. After narrowing down our choices to a few potential footstones, we made a trip to Duluth for the burial. At the Duluth Monument offices, Nicole took the time to sit with us and present the actual examples we had discussed via email. Her willingness to accommodate our design preferences, even allowing us to make changes to the catalog designs, was a testament to the personalized service we received. Nicole is a great partner during this otherwise difficult process, and I'm glad to have her help.

  Wonderful experience!! I highly recommend Duluth Monument's staff and services. Nicole was so easy to work with, very knowledgeable and kept in contact throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond to find available options to fit our budget and was so helpful and creative with design options and several changes until it was perfect. When delays happened due to weather this spring, she found an alternative way to make sure the stone was placed before the service date without us even having to ask, which was amazing and greatly appreciated! I thought this was going to be a daunting and difficult process but it was not. I cannot thank you enough for your efforts, you made it easy.

  Nicole was extremely inconsiderate in trying to work with her. Obviously your going to her about the passing of a loved one; so your dealing with a very sensitive issue. I understood that during covid it was taking longer to get headstones in. I was patient and tried waiting over a long period of time. Nothing changed, she didn't have any options for me. When I questioned why at this time it was still taking so long, she said she was not going to deal with me any longer and hung the phone up on me. I am not an overly sensitive person; but I am still kind of shocked how she handled this. I looked and saw there was another local place called Country Creations in Esko. I called, and Sue the owner could not have been any nicer. I have an appointment Wednesday to pick out a headstone. I saw the real side of Nicole come out--and it was not pretty. She may act nice on the outside, but in dealing with the death of a loved one; I would prefer someone who is genuine--that Nicole is not.

  Excellent customer service. Extremely convenient online tools to choose products. Thank you for making it painless to get what we needed as a family for closure. Our gratitude is unending. The piece was so beautiful and exactly what we hoped for. We would recommend them to everyone. They really went above and beyond. Also we are 5 states away. Everything was done by email and phone calls.
