  It is with a heavy heart that I am leaving a bad review. My father moved until memory care at the end of August 2025. He has Alzheimer's. My mother moved into the independent living area the following month. It is a beautiful facility and we thought they would be in excellent hands. Unfortunately, that has not been the case and I have been left wondering if we've made a horrible mistake. There hasn't been a day that we have gone to his room and not had to ask that they clean the cath bags from the grab bars in the bathroom. At least weekly, the bathroom floor has been disgusting and we were told by the people at the desk that we have to wait for housekeeping to come because that's "not they're job." Eventually we had to meet with John the manager. That was 2 weeks ago. Some things have improved but many have not. My father has been to the ER 5 times this month due to variants of UTI issues. Until Tuesday, almost 2 months after he moved here, I have never arrived when he did not need smell terribly and need to be changed. If you have a family member there, be prepared to advocate constantly.

  Very nice, friendly, accommodating and clean! Visited my aunt several times here during the short stay she needed care. Highly recommended. Always, greeted at the entrance and everyone was always so helpful and caring. 🩷

  Such a beautiful place, nothing you would of expected for senior living. The place is looks like a castle and such a warm, cozy, and loving place.

  Liz McMurtrie is a Life Enrichment Manager at Waltonwood on Main in Rochester, MI. Over the last several years Liz, and her assistant Kirsten, have provided exceptional care for my mother who just turned 100 years of age this past August. Due to the pandemic, it has not been possible for my brother and sister that live nearby to visit in person but Liz was able to coordinate weekly video chats with my mother for not only my brother and sister there in Michigan, but my sister and me living New England. This has been invaluable to us enabling us to carry on conversations with our mother providing her with the necessary family support she so desperately requires. Each week, Liz calls me for a video chat with my mother which typically lasts for over an hour. I greatly cherish this time with her which I recognize is my only form of personal interaction due to the pandemic. Liz’ affable personality is a great comfort to my mother and is evidenced by my mother’s countenance when Liz interacts with her. My family and I are tremendously grateful for the loving care that Liz as well as countless others at Waltonwood provide on a daily basis keeping our family at ease knowing that our mother is receiving a supreme level of care.

  Residents are happy and well cared for. The staff truly cares about each and every resident. The management team is strong and very appreciative of the associates and the residents. Waltonwood Main is a wonderful residence for you or your loved ones.
