- SWStacey WithersApr 4, 20241.0Very rude greeting. Finding a place for a loved one is stressful enough. Mary Grace was hardly that. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I was told one thing over the phone and something else in person. Which is fine. The delivery and tone was down right disrespectful. She does not need to work in customer service and it appears as the executive director condones the behavior as she over heard the conversations and allowed them to go forth.

The staff was beyond friendly, and really went above and beyond, especially towards the end. I've had to deal separately with a number of assisted living facilities for my mother in Florida, and none of them came anywhere close to Baldwin House in terms of the facilities and the people. I miss my father very much, but it gives me comfort to know how well he was taken care of at Baldwin House.

From the start we were in contact with Mark who met with us and walked us through the entire process. He showed us many apartment options and kept looking and stayed in touch with us. Once we agreed and signed up, he personally helped with the move-in process and checked in on us, even bringing some food to help welcome us. My Mom's time there has been great and Mark continues to check in, making sure everything is perfect. If you are looking for a place for a family member or a place for yourself, I recommend contacting Baldwin House Oakland and asking for Mark.
