For over 40 years, the Fair Housing Center of Metropolitan Detroit strived to make housing a reality for those we serve. Fair housing opens doors and leads to coming welcoming, inclusive, and diverse communities.
I had the occasion to speak with FHCMD and spoke to Rochelle Woods. It was a very pleasant experience and I felt a relief that this organization is going to look into a matter. Not being able to live in a peaceful and tranquil environment without feeling harassment from a condo association from what I feel is precipitated from a form of racial bias is also a relief. I am disabled both in my memory, as well as having not being able to walk from two bone replacements in my leg of which are painful and handicaps my everyday life. I suffer daily in pain physically, as well as mentally and living in a hostile living environment and being a target of discrimination triggers my PTSD which is hurtful in and of itself. I finally got a good night's sleep after speaking with her. I am wishing for the best outcome and feel relieved already to have someone on my side to look into the matter objectectively.

I’m a 100% disabled veteran with PTSD that was in an overwhelming situation with my rental property managers. I explained everything to Aron Hagos who was incredibly kind to me, patient, understanding and helpful. I really felt like he had my best interest in mind and was able to resolve my issue and take a great deal of stress and burden off of my mind. I am incredibly grateful for him and his help.

Although I am not eligible for the services here at fair housing, Rochelle Woods replied to me in a timely manner and referred me to the right agency for further assistance.
