American House Dearborn Heights has been outstanding for my family. The leadership and care here truly set the standard. Michelle’s leadership is exceptional — she is highly response and genuinely invested in the well‑being of her residents. You can feel the difference her guidance makes throughout the entire community. I also want to recognize Clara, the swing‑shift supervisor, whose hard work, patience and concern were easy to see. She goes above and beyond to make sure residents are safe, supported, and cared for. Her dedication is obvious, and it brings real peace of mind to families like mine. The team here is professional, warm, and consistently attentive. I’m grateful for everything they do and highly recommend American House Dearborn Heights to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with dignity and kindness.

My Dad stays there, and when I went to visit, he was staying a one-room one-bathroom unit that looks like a homeless shelter. It has a bed, a table, 2 chairs, and a TV. I ate with my dad and the food reminded me of the food they serve in in poverty-level children's schools. When I call me dad to check on him his phone goes to voicemail, so I have to call someone to go to his room to call me. He never goes out to get fresh air unless I am with him. Other than that, he goes to the cafeteria to eat three times a day and goes back to his. If he oversleeps and misses the meal time, he goes without food. He was living in a nice 2-bedroom two 2-bath with a kitchen, living room, and dining area. Very nice. My dad's wife has dementia and attacked him. I am his only son. No one told me. I live in California, where I work and they hide it from me. His wife attacked him and hit him with a cane, bruising his ankle. I found out this year. The wife's family moved my dad to this one-room homeless shelter from the two-bedroom apartment. They told me his only son was left all the emergency call list by my dad's wife's family. I know have to go to court to be able to receive any medical services for my dad. This place is horrible.

Good atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Management seems to really be attentive to the residents needs.
