I have nothing but good things to say about Hampton Manor!! The staff is amazing with the residents, they are quite attentive and go above and beyond to make sure they have everything they want/need and much more!! The residents are ALWAYS treated with dignity and respect and most importantly kindness! The entire staff is quite knowledgeable in their roles and are always able and willing to help anyone in need! The administrators are incredible as well! They are very helpful and also knowledgeable in their positions! They can answer any questions quickly and easily and are always willing to listen and act accordingly! Their expertise and knowledge is astounding. The level of caring displayed not only for the residents but the entire staff is very apparent! Everyone that walks through the door is treated as if they are the most important person in the world!!! I would 1000% recommend Hampton Manor to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones!! Thank You HM for all that you do!

Although a gorgeous facility, the staff at the top (administrator, D.O.N., etc) are not prepared for these positions and the staff below them are poorly trained. We learned that the AD, DON and their 2 "leads" have previous history working at the Pines of Clarkston. The 2 "leads" are NOT licensed CNA's. When our loved one was there, only one girl was a licensed CNA. The licensed CNA is the one who should be a "lead" considering they took the proper training and passed the state licensing requirements. A new girl who had never been a caregiver before was passing meds after only 4 days of working. This is completely unacceptable!! It was super apparent to us that the caregivers do NOT receive proper training before getting put on the floor. Within a few days of our loved one being moved in, a water pipe broke in the ceiling in the hallway outside her room. Her room was flooded, at 3 am, she was moved to another room. Without even as much as a phone call to family to explain. I get a call the following morning (as I was already on my way to visit) from my loved one, at 9am she was still in bed, had not received her medication, not been taken to the bathroom and not up and ready to go for breakfast. It happened again the next day as well. I had to rush up there both of those days to get her out of bed, toilet and dress her and then down to breakfast. It's also very uncomfortable to be locked out of the building and have to wait for one of the staff to let you in and out. With the water pipe broken, there were powerful fans and dehumidifiers all over the hallway, BUT the cords were crossing all over and was UNSAFE for any resident to pass through. None of her belongings were moved to the other room either, so we had to keep going back and forth to gather items and move them. During lunch on a Sunday, another resident at our table was choking, the staff did NOT respond. My brother-in-law saved that residents life. One of the caregivers came to the table and told that resident to take a drink - I had to scold her and tell her you don't give a choking resident something to drink. The resident was turning purple. I advised the staff they needed to contact the doctor on staff or call an ambulance to have her checked out. They did NOT! They did NOT even report it to the staff on the following shift, it was NOT documented, and it was NEVER reported to the management. Management did NOT know until my sister and I had a full blown meeting with them. There is a laundry list a mile long of things that went horribly wrong in the 5 days we had our loved one there. You want my advice? RUN!! Do NOT bring your loved one here if they depend on assistance. I cannot stress this enough, if your loved one can do everything for themselves, then this might be ok for them, but if your loved one needs assistance to survive, do NOT bring them here. I don't give two "sheets" how pretty this place looks or what lies they tell you to get you to move in - freaking run! We were lied to about the facility being licensed as well. After further investigation - they only had a temporary license that was suspended. The floor staff are not supervised. Some of the girls were very sweet and really were interested in trying to do right, but without proper training and proper supervision- they just can't do it. The kitchen was awful - I can't say one good thing about how they ran that kitchen. The food was awful, no options either. There is a conflict of interest being that one of the owners is also the doctor on staff. RUN RUN RUN and do it as fast as you can.

We moved my aunt to Hampton Manor of Burton from another facility in Grand blanc in September and we could not be happier ! The care she receives is TOP NOTCH ! All of the staff and caregivers are so caring and they treat you and your loved ones like family . They are VERY ATTENTIVE to the needs of the residents . and I love that they check on them often and look in on them just to say Hi . The management is Amazing if you have questions or concerns they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure they get answers for you . The facility is VERY CLEAN and beautifully decorated . My aunt loves her apartment which is very spacious but still handicapped accessible. I would HIGHLY recommend Hampton Manor to everyone who is looking for SUPERB CARE for a loved one. They have so much to offer you will not be disappointed !!
