But it is not the Church which brings me joy and peace; it is the knowledge of the Savior, the knowledge that Heavenly Father loves me (and you), and the plan of salvation that I learn about, and interact with - on a daily basis. The Machias Branch is part of the worldwide church, and has living Apostles and Prophets for our day, a women's organization that is focused on compassion and service; and we consider the Bible, the Book of Mormon and other scriptures as the word of God. We have good people, doing good things, and and enjoying good company.

This Christian Church is Christ centered and teaches the doctrine of Jesus Christ. They teach about how we can all return to live with our Heavenly Father someday. I feel the love of all who attend - usually 40-50, with children as young as infants and adults as old as 90. This Church is very friendly and welcoming. As the sign in the front says “Visitors Welcome.”
