After my dad passed away, my husband, Don, and I put all our efforts into trying to keep my mom in her own home, which is what she most wanted. However, it wasn't long before it became very clear that she was no longer safe living by herself. Her mental state had declined and once she began fallling, we knew it was time for a move. Although I explored many options, I primarily focused on assisted living in residential homes, which provide care for seniors with a variety of abilities. Angel's Touch immediately stood out. The staff was caring, compassionate and personable. I was impressed that many of the staff had worked at Angel's Touch for a number of years. Mark, the owner, made my mom's transition easier by inviting her along on one of their outings prior to her move. Other staff were extra attentive to help her adjustment and always supportive and offered encouragement to ease my concerns.
It has been 9 years now since my mom's passing, but I still stay in touch with the staff at Angel's Touch. We feel incredibly blessed that we were able to find such a wonderful place for Mom to spend her final years. It takes a special kind of person to be a caregiver and it is obvious that the caregivers at Angel's Touch love what they do. They take the time to really get to know each of their residents, their personalities, their likes and dislikes. They demonstrate a sincere interest in each person's special interests, their families and their life stories. I was always amazed at how well they so personally got to know my mom. We are happy to have been a part of the Angel's Touch family.

I give great thanks to the working staff at Angels Touch for their support with my dad. He was there just less than a year when he passed away. Yet the time he had while there was full of care, compassion and a good kind of concern.
The staff is devoted to their task of caring for the loved ones who reside at Angels Touch. They do plenty of fun events throughout the year and since most seniors like sweets, there is usually a fresh baked cake on the counter, but not for long.
My Dad, like many others there, needed help with dressing, bathing, toileting, etc. and over the time he was there, he went from somewhat dependent to totally dependent on the caregivers to help with his needs. He stayed in his room (as he wished) and was provided with his meals. As it got harder for Dad to get around, being afforded in-room meals was a big benefit to him. Angels Touch even supplied my dad with a powered recliner when he was no longer able to manage in his manual recliner chair.
While I visited Dad daily, it gave me a good idea of how the assisted living is run and the people who run it and work there. The best part of Dad being there was the people who provided for his needs and that to me is the most important part when it comes to moving someone into an otherwise unfamiliar living environment. Angels Touch does not put on a home decorator’s show, but instead puts effort into the compassionate care they give to their residents. There is a core team of caregivers and my dad became very comfortable with their support and care. Plus Divya, the owner, is very personable and works hard with her family & staff to make sure residents have all that they need. As time went by, my dad settled in nicely and I also felt very comfortable around the staff and other residents and have made many new friends.
There is probably no perfect assisted living, so constructive feedback for continued improvement is just as important as all the positive feedback. One area for improvement focuses on the overnight care, particularly concentrated on medication administration during the nighttime hours. While my dad was there, an overnight awake person was on duty to care for the resident’s needs, but the person did not have authority to administer meds unless a plan was put into action earlier in the evening when a med tech was available. And while there is someone to call in case of a resident need, to have a med tech trained employee overnight is important I think in the instance where drugs for end-of-life need administration on a scheduled basis, both day and night.
To sum it up for those that read reviews, I was overall quite pleased with the level of care my dad received during his stay at Angels Touch and I would give the facility a very favorable rating as a result.
It was wonderful for my father to spend his last years where he was cared for like as a "family", instead of the "institution" kind of facilities found often elsewhere. The outings were always fun and engaging, with my father enthusiastically telling me of the activities. Often I was invited to participate at the special events at Angels Touch with my father. On the day that my father died, there was a solemn gathering of the owner Mark, and several caretakers for a kind send off. I just hope that I have the same experience when I get to that age.

We were so fortunate to find Angel's Touch. They provided such loving care to our mother. The owner, Mark, and his staff were so kind, communicative, and went above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience for all of us. Angel's Touch was much more a home than a facility, where the residents ate homecooked meals, participated in all kinds of activities (even a trip to Ocean City!), received the most personal care, and where our mom was treated like family rather than a patient. We can't express our gratitude enough to Mark and his staff for the kindness and care they showed our mother.
