Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.

There is a wonderful visitors center. The temple is a quiet serene place that I love to attend regularly. The grounds were beautiful with many kind of tulips.

The temple grounds and structure are meticulously maintained, offering a tranquil and sacred atmosphere that inspires reverence and personal reflection.
The volunteers and temple workers exhibit outstanding professionalism, warmth, and dedication, providing seamless guidance and support to all visitors. The ordinances, educational sessions, and opportunities for worship delivered profound spiritual enrichment, fostering greater peace, clarity, and a strengthened sense of purpose in my life.
This temple stands as a remarkable symbol of faith and community within the Washington area, serving as an exceptional resource for those seeking deeper connection and eternal perspectives.

Beautiful old church with unique architecture. You can’t go inside, but the visitor center has a detailed model showing exactly what’s inside the building. It’s a great way to explore the interior without actually entering.

Washington D.C. Temple is truly a beautiful and impressive landmark. Everything about the site is well-maintained, and the surrounding gardens are peaceful and lovely to walk through. I especially enjoyed visiting the small replica area, which gives a closer look and adds a nice touch to the experience.
However, it’s a bit disappointing that the main temple is not open to the public. For such a prominent structure that can be seen from so many places, I expected it to be accessible for visitors. Still, it’s definitely worth seeing for its beauty and serene atmosphere.
