Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.
The temple and grounds are frequently described as beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained, with many visitors praising the architecture and landscaping.
Visitor Experience
The visitor center is appreciated for its informative displays and welcoming atmosphere, although some reviews mention it could be better maintained.
Traffic Management

Spiritual Atmosphere
Many reviews highlight the spiritual and peaceful environment of the temple, making it a favored place for reflection and connection to faith.
Staff Interaction
While most staff interactions are positive, there are some reports of rudeness or unhelpful behavior from certain staff members, which detracted from the overall experience.

The temple grounds are always clean and immaculate. It is a slice of Heaven on earth. The “Light the World” Christmas campaign will bring lovely Christmas lights that are open for all to see. I can’t recommend visiting this place enough! I was not born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but I joined the church at age 24 so I grew up in the DC area seeing this temple off of 395 and wondering what it is like. It is amazing! I can’t recommend visiting enough.
