Our day was absolutely wonderful! Morningside made planning easy. Our coordinator; Shannon, was amazing. From our rehearsal to the actual day it all felt so surreal. The staff were absolutely amazing. I was in complete awe being able to look at everything prior to the ceremony. I keep reliving moments in my head, it all happened so beautifully. Down to the tiniest details, everything was handled wonderfully. We went in without any worry. I can’t recommend this place enough. This place is magical!

We had our wedding here a couple years ago. Albeit a beautiful location, the mismanagement and lack of simple hospitality left a sour taste in my mouth.
After we had already booked and paid for the venue, I brought my mom and grandmother with me to the tasting. My husband was deployed at the time and I wanted to test out and see the handicap accessibility of the venue that they advertised so my grandmother could attend. Handicap accessibility was a joke. On top of that, my grandmother actually started to choke on something during the tasting (obviously not the fault of Morningside at all lol) but after I helped her through that, we didn’t even get a single acknowledgment from anyone of “hey are you ok is there anything we can do?”. Instead, they made sure I was the absolute last person to be seen by the coordinator. I didn’t make a stink, but it stung. They don’t even let you pick your coordinator, they have a completely unbalanced system where the one with the most tenure has 30 weddings a year while the new ones have maybe 1-3 a year. It seemed very strange. On top of that, the coordinator was extremely rude, and it seems like I’m not the only one who feels this way based on others reviews. Later I requested to work with another coordinator that I really hit it off with when we originally toured the place. Two weeks before the wedding, management called me repeatedly at 11pm on a Sunday to let me know that they fired that coordinator from working on my wedding (who was in my opinion the nicest person at the venue) and I was going to be with a new coordinator (who was very sweet but clearly had never done a wedding before). Not what you want to hear. The new coordinator did absolutely nothing before the wedding, she was primarily a day-of-coordinator. Day before the wedding we had some simple requests like placing family photos of our deceased on this table vs. another one. Putting the guest book here where it could be seen. Making sure the bartender knows how to make the his and hers cocktails correctly. Or, just making sure the champagne is cold. None of these things happened. She didn’t take a single written note the day before the wedding and it showed. We had a great time because my bridesmaids kicked it in gear, but the lack of hospitality and attention to simple but important details was very apparent. I just felt like we were another cog in their wedding machine despite it being our special day. Seems that other folks have better experiences but to me, this place is clearly not well managed and does not truly have people’s interests at heart.
I’ve been wanting to write a review on them for a while, but I am certain they will have some canned answer in response to this to seem like they take these concerns into true consideration but at the end of the day we pay them a lot of money for one night that they don’t actually care about. What they care about is good reviews and money. But thats the wedding business.
The venue is beautiful and the food was good. They have decent vendor connections too. However, you will be on your own for the rest of it.
