Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.

This may be the best place I have ever been. The atmosphere is outstanding, and the employees are all volunteers who are very helpful and kind. There's never a bad day that goes unbrightened when you visit the temple. Walking on the temple grounds makes you feel like you are in a sanctified and sacred space, and that is true. It's a great place to visit, and you can see it from Route 2. While there isn't much to do there, the atmosphere is great for studying scriptures or reading on the yard during the summer.
The temple has a good history with the community, having had some difficulty getting the zoning permits for the steeple. There are a lot of fun stories behind that, and there are many good books written about how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints established the temple there and was able to acquire the necessary permits. Parking is really easy and plentiful. If you go into the main building, the people at the temple recommend desk will greet you kindly and explain what the building is. However, you won't be able to go in without a temple recommend from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Overall, it's a special place that leaves a lasting impression.

The Boston Massachusetts Temple stands as a beacon of light and reverence in the heart of a historic city. From the moment I approached, I felt a sense of peace and solemnity. Inside, participating in the sacred ordinances filled me with deep spiritual confirmation of the truths of the gospel and the eternal nature of families. I felt a profound sense of God’s presence and assurance that the covenants made here have real, lasting power. Leaving the temple, my heart was filled with gratitude, renewed faith, and a commitment to live more fully according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. This temple inspires devotion, reflection, and a deep appreciation for God’s love and guidance.
