Louisiana Association for the Blind opened its manufacturing doors in 1968 producing peel-and-stick nonskid for America’s Coast Guard and Navy ships. Since that time, we have expanded our manufacturing into a multi-dimensional powerhouse converting raw materials into copy paper, producing Abrasive Sanding Cloth, and providing custom laser designs and products. Our facility provides opportunities for custom kitting and warehousing to maximize operations for our customers. Operating under the AbilityOne Program, our workforce is 110 members strong, 75% of which are blind or visually impaired. Every SKILCRAFT purchase supports the AbilityOne program and our mission, improving the quality of life for people who are blind with training services.
