I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Brownlee Ward, one of the wards that meets in this LDS Church building in Bossier City, LA. We were there for Easter of 2024. The ward had a great Easter program. We felt the spirit through the special musical program that helped testify of the resurrected Jesus Christ on the Easter morning long ago. My 12 year old son even commented on the beautiful music and how he felt. About the Building: The layout was familiar with the chapel at the center and classrooms flanking its sides. This provides a sense of comfort knowing that the church, not only what is being taught, but the layout is similar wherever in the world I go. It was also unique with glass walls in the foyer on both the east and west sides. I have not seen glass walls before. It was fun to look out from the inside of the building 😊 Like others, this building has a small carpeted cultural hall which offers a space for community gatherings. Although I didn't spot a pavilion outside, the expansive field is perfect for outdoor activities and events. What truly stood out to me was how seamlessly the building was integrated into the surrounding neighborhood. Tucked away yet easily accessible, it felt like a true beacon of inclusivity and warmth. The people of the Brownlee Ward were inviting. They come up to me to welcome my family and I and it was fun to introduce myself ❤ I felt the love of the Savior through my interactions and their welcoming spirit. Great experience! I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. 👍👍
