At Small Steps Preschool, our preschool program supports children from infant to 5 years in a safe, engaging, and academically rich environment. We provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and children have the unique opportunity to prepare their own lunch, fostering independence and life skills.
It took me a long time to decide to write a review. I just want to protect my other brown and black children from what happened to my baby! I didn’t realize how bad this preschool affected my child until we left for good! My child was segregated and treated less than her blonde hair blue eyed babies. She hated her own skin and hair because of how she was treated at this daycare. She cried most days and didn’t want to go and I found out later that she was treated less than, yelled at, and developed anxious behaviors. I have taught my child to love all people and yet that is not what she experienced. So please if you have a black or brown baby don’t send them here! They took away nap time and called the tired children bad to their faces. My child learned nothing after Brittani, a former teacher, left and I see why she left. Protect your baby!

This is a wonderful daycare! My granddaughter when there and I cannot say enough good things! I feel grateful it is secured by being gated and doors locked. With all the crazy people in this world, we need more safe environments, like this, to ensure safety of children! For the record, if you read the “negative reviews” you will find they are all written by family members of 1 bad reviewer. What a shame!

Unprofessional and extremely shady facility. They don’t allow parents in under any circumstances and retaliate when you report multiple unreported instances of your child being bitten and not allowing parents inside despite their parent handbook stating they can. Director is unprofessional and will talk to you condescendingly when called out (or just block you from their page and then reference your post calling them out in another FB group). Would not recommend.

My son has attended small steps for almost 4 years and has grown so much. Their curriculum, activities and outings keep the children engaged and constantly learning. I cannot recommend this center and their staff enough.
