Welcome to the Steen Funeral Homes web site. We hope you find our services helpful and reassuring as you make funeral arrangements, either for your loved one or for pre-planning your own service.
Steen Funeral Home was wonderful. They were so helpful and compassionate and professional with helping my family when my parents passed away six months apart this year. They made everything so peaceful and seamless from the beginning to the end. Both of the funerals were beautiful and the business end was very stress free. I highly recommend them.

Very professional and accommodating staff. Our family has always been blessed to have Brian Binion at our side through our difficult times. He was always just a phone call away. And no matter the task if it was something he could help us with, he was more then willing to do so. It’s the little things during the hardest times that mean the most to a family. Things that you can’t repay. But you never forget. Thank you to the entire staff for all you do!

If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good-bye, that’s perfectly acceptable. Your funeral director will come when your time is right.
Should I choose Burial or Cremation?
Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together.
A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.

Should I choose burial or cremation for my funeral needs?
