The vision for GiGi's Playhouse was to create a physical place where families could celebrate their children with Down syndrome and find resources, community, and empowerment. Since opening the doors to it's first location in 2003 in a suburb of Chicago, GiGi's Playhouse has grown to a sustainable 57 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, including the Playhouse in Fort Wayne, IN!
GiGi's Playhouse Fort Wayne opened in January 2016 with the support of more than 40 families in northern Indiana. Now, the Playhouse supports over 380 families in Allen County and surrounding counties by providing over one thousand FREE educational, therapeutic, and career development programs each month!
