- ALAshlie LimJun 24, 20255.0My baby started daycare at 6 months, and we learned something new about her: she is incredibly strong-willed. She was the baby who would go 7 hours without sleeping or drinking milk. No tears, minor fussing, just playing, observing, or chilling all day long. She is now 8 months old. And I have to say, I am grateful for the team in her classroom. They have worked with my family, with compassion and care, advising and aiding all along this journey. My baby is well taken care of, well loved, and happy in her class. She still doesn't nap and doesn't take milk well so she's basically there half-day (my fault, I wanted to gently work on this and I have flexibility at work to accommodate this), but she smiles, she sits and eats, she socializes. Is it pricey to send her there for half a day? Absolutely. Do I wish there was a half day tuition option in the interim? Definitely. Yet, I still think it's worth every penny to ensure she has the best care that she is certainly receiving right now.

When we were touring the location prior to my daughter's birth, we were impressed by the curriculum, the quality of the teachers and staff, and loved the outdoor play spaces available to the kids--and it has not disappointed in the year we've been there. I especially love that books are always out and available in the classroom; some of the other comparable large day care centers in the area only brought out books during specific reading times. I also love that food is provided and that no uniforms are required.

I will always remember the way a teacher, Miss Lori, greeted a student: a huge smile and a hug. I was sold! As an educator, I can immediately tell when children are valued and I can say that each staff member at Bright Horizons genuinely loves working with children. Every activity has a clear purpose. Our daughter has shown wonderful gross development progress after a short amount of time at Bright Horizons. Her teacher, Ms. Halima,treats our daughter as an individual and goes above and beyond to support her development needs. In addition, our daughter LOVES school. She doesn’t want to leave and insists on saying goodbye to each teacher. She learned Ms. Michelle’s name after one week. This provides more evidence that each teacher regardless of classroom, takes the time to make a meaningful connection with each child. Lastly, the administration is a dream. Ms. Carrie and Ms. Laura are excellent directors and work hands on with the students. We could not be happier with Bright Horizons. My only regret is that we didn’t switch earlier.
