Our son started at Bright Horizon when he was 15 months old, and he’s now almost 3. We’ve had such a wonderful experience watching him grow and thrive here. He loves going to school every day and has made so many friends. The teachers are warm, kind, and experienced — they’ve done an excellent job establishing routines that help him feel safe and confident. The consistency and care they provide have also helped him develop great habits and positive behavior. We’re so grateful to the entire team for creating such a nurturing and structured environment where children can learn, connect, and feel at home.
I am beyond disappointed and disturbed by the level of unprofessionalism at this child care center — especially from the management team. The way they handle concerns is dismissive, defensive, and completely unacceptable for a place that’s supposed to care for children.
Even worse, there are teachers currently employed who have mistreated my child, and when I brought this to the attention of management, nothing was done. There was no accountability, no urgency, and certainly no compassion. It’s clear the well-being of the children is not their priority — protecting their staff is.
Parents, please be cautious before trusting this center with your child. No family should have to experience the lack of basic care, respect, and safety that we did. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This summer, my son had an exciting, creative, and adventure-filled time at camp! One of the standout activities was using a 3D doodle pen to design and build imaginative creations, including a spaceship model.
A real highlight was the visit to a local fire station, where campers met firefighters, explored the trucks, and learned about fire safety in a hands-on and memorable way. They also dove into nature exploration with the DuPage Forest Preserve Discovery Box, learning all about mammals and owls through engaging, interactive materials.
The camp was packed with fun events, including a Juggle Comedy Show that kept everyone laughing, a colorful Tie Dye Day full of creativity, and refreshing water days that brought lots of joy and splashing fun under the sun.
Another special highlight was Tippi Toes Dance, where the kids got to move, groove, and express themselves through music and dance, building confidence and having a blast on the dance floor.
None of these wonderful memories would have been possible without the amazing teachers and camp staff, whose warmth, creativity, and dedication made every day special.
It was truly a summer to remember!

Beyond pleased with the Summer Camp Program!
Our son has come home everyday ecstatic and excited about all the activities he did during the day since enrolling. He is a super energetic 9 year old boy who’s always looking for something to do. This camp came recommended by several family friends who told us about their wonderful experience that we just had to give it a try!
For starters they really made our son feel welcome from day one, although the classroom was very full with other children we could tell he felt very comfortable since the first day. He had his own cubby, his own “placemat” for meal times already made. He’s typically a child more on the shy side but he warmed up quickly to the teachers and made friends the very first day.
We had mentioned that we were working on self- regulating his emotions as we had gone through several outbursts at school. Ms.Julie sat down with us and listened to our concerns attentively and then walked us through a very thorough plan on how we could move forward if any incidents happened.
Sure enough on his third day he started to show some of those same regulation issues and we were absolutely impressed by how well they handled it. Not only did he not have the typical outburst but he himself walked us through what he felt and went through in that moment, something he had never done before!! As a parent it was a huge breakthrough for all of us and it felt amazing to not feel as if our child was “labeled” or treated any differently.
Our son is thrilled to be returning next summer, thank you so much BH @ Naperville!

Avoid their school-age camp at all cost, especially if you have an energetic or sensitive child.
As a child development and autism researcher, I had high hopes for this costly program. I enrolled my son with optimism, especially after hearing from friends who had sent their children here. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and distressing.
Here are the key concerns:
Lack of individual care and understanding
The staff made no genuine effort to get to know my son. One lead teacher consistently gave off an unapproachable vibe, which made my child fearful of speaking up or sharing what really happened during conflicts.
Quick to label, slow to listen
Rather than working with us to understand the full context of incidents, they were quick to label my child, who is still developing the language and confidence to explain his perspective fully to an UNAPPROACHABLE teacher. They sided with older children who manipulated him, and my son was blamed without a thorough investigation.
Poor communication and broken promises
Despite initially agreeing to a fresh start, they abruptly escalated to expulsion. The decision seemed to be made without thoughtful consideration or any attempt at resolution. My son, though energetic, responds very well to redirection—even in challenging moments. Prompts can happen in guiding him with his hands. But I don't know if the teachers are trained enough to know...Yet we were repeatedly told "we tried to redirect him," with no evidence of meaningful engagement or support.
A disconnect between the advertised structure and the actual experience
They provide a polished weekly schedule—but my child rarely brought anything home, suggesting minimal follow-through on planned activities.
Red flags in staff engagement
During pickup, I often saw staff supervising the younger age group sitting on tablets instead of actively engaging with the children. This was another signal that active care and interaction may not be a priority.
In short: if a program makes you or your child feel like the problem, walk away. Children deserve safe, nurturing environments that support their development, not ones where they are blamed, labeled, or dismissed. Note that all five-star reviews happened 7 years ago.
I don’t write negative reviews lightly, but I felt compelled to share this in hopes of helping other families avoid the same experience.
