When I first walked in to this daycare, I was greeted by the director, Robyn. We went in to her office and she seemed very bothered by my questions like what the weekly rate was, how the classes are separated, what the food schedule looked like and other normal questions to ask. Every time she got the chance, she kept asking if I could start my child asap because they needed to get their enrollment numbers up in order to staff the classrooms. I was hesitant because of her reaction to my questions so I told her I still had to tour a few more daycare centers but I would be in touch and she said if I did not enroll my child that day, I would not be able to enroll at a later date. On the way out it honestly felt like she was upset at me. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a daycare. I will not be taking my child here.

We absolutely LOVE A Child’s Place!!!! The staff is great and so caring of our kids. They go above and beyond to make sure my kids are taken care of, and if we have any issues the Director Robyn is quick to get them resolved ❤️ we’ve known Robyn & Amanda for the last 6 years, since we were at their Antioch location, and our girls always look forward to going there every day!!! I would HIGHLY recommend using them for child care

Surprised that Robyn(director of the facility) is still working here. The most rude and condescending person to ever interact with and you should not trust your kids with people like this.

I would suggest staying as far away from this daycare as possible. I was with A Child's Place Lindenhurst for about 2 months after transferring over from A Child's Place Volo because of my daughters transportation needs to her new school. I had my kids at the Volo center for years and I never experienced anything like what I experienced in the short 2 months of being here. The director Robyn is the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. The last phone call I had with her, she started yelling at me over the phone and she got into an actual argument with me. While we were there, I had multiple incidents with my sons teacher Danielle because he told me she would pull his arm when she would yell at him. Another time, right when I arrived to pick up, he was holding his hand and ran to me and told me she had just slapped his hand right before I walked in and he started crying. I did get in contact with DCFS and they do have an active case with this center. I have witnessed both the director herself and Danielle pull other kids arms when I arrived for pick up. If you are a family here, I would suggest showing up at different times to try and catch them by surprise and also ask your children if they've ever hit them in any way. My kids would cry at drop off and say that they were scared of Danielle and didn't want to stay. I never really had a problem with the other staff. The assistant director and other teachers were friendly but I'm not sure how Robyn and Danielle are still there. It's obvious that they do not like being in childcare. I regret having to take my kids here at all.
