- BHBen HarrisMar 18, 20261.0This review is regarding their admissions process. My wife and I just returned from a visit where we were informed in the first few minutes that there is a ~2 year waitlist for the infant program if you are not affiliated with the hospital which owns the daycare building. In our interest form, we had indicated we were interested in the infant room, and the automated system scheduled a tour for us. The woman hosting the tour confirmed that the majority of parents who come for a visit realize that this is daycare is not an option for them due to the long waitlist and so the tour immediately ends before it begins. I gave this feedback in person, but wanted to leave it in a review in the hopes it will result in some changes to their daycare application process. Put yourself in the shoes of new parents with a baby only a few months old. You live 15 minutes away from the center. In addition to the typical stressors of having a infant - unpredictable sleep schedules, etc, one parent may be working and may take time off or plan their day around the visit. You try to time feeding the baby, getting yourselves ready, loading the car, making the drive, etc. You enter the building, unstrap the baby from the car seat, put her in the baby-wear carrier, only to find out in the first five minutes this daycare is not a viable option. You then pack the baby back-up and begin your drive home. Of course she falls asleep in the car and wakes again when you arrive and taker her out. At the end of the day 45 minutes of wasted time for my wife and I isn't the end of the world. I'm more bothered by the fact that this daycare has established a process wherein they subject new parents to this over and over, when a simple outreach phone call ahead of the visit could prevent this. Yes, in hindsight we should have reached out with a phone call in advance to ask about the waitlist before visiting - we'll do that going forward. But for a business which caters to parents and children, I'd suggest that this daycare consider altering their admissions process to have more consideration for families in the community. Hopefully they show more consideration for their actual clients than they do their prospective ones.
