Love most of the staff, but one of the newer employees left my 2 year old son unattended outside in 96 weather and the y proceeded to bring her back after all of this occurred. All the other staff not a single bad thing to say about them

We actually have our second child at the Y now and our first had went there for probably a year or more before starting kindergarten. So we made the choice to stick with them with the new baby after our good experience. We'll I must say our new baby is no longer new he has been at the Y since mom went back too work at 6 weeks old and has been there since so coming up on 10months he's been in their care. The communication is impeccable, we absoulty love all the staff Helen, Mary, Tina are all amazing. And the director Mrs Yvonne is great as well. Only thing I would change Is going back to 6pm close versus 5pm the morning hrs didn't personally effect our family but that extra hour at night sometimes man when your racing around with 2 working parents sometimes it puts you in a time crunch. Otherwise if you want to know your kids are safe and taken care of this is the place for them. They are overall absolutely awesome and appreciated very much!
UPDATE: A DCFS CASE WAS OPENED DUE TO ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES LEAVING OUR SON OUTSIDE AND THE CASE IS NOW CLOSED BUT THE EMPLOYEE HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK TO THE FACILTY AND IS EMPLOYEED THERE SO SHE IS NEGLEGANT AND OUR SON COULD HAVE BEEN HARMED IT WAS 90 PLUS DEGREES OUT THAT DAY AND SECONDLY ISNT THIS A HUGE LIABILTY FOR THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION. HIGHLY DISAPOINTED HER NAME IS TORI SO GOOD LUCK IF YOUD CHILD ATTENDS CARE HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL CONTINUE TOO EMPLOYEE NEGLEGENT EMPLOYEES SUCH AS TORI. ABSOULTY DISAPPOINTED, DISGUSTED, AND 100 PERCENT AM SEEKING NEW CARE FOR OUR CHILD CAN NOT BELIEVE THEY BEOUGHT THIS EMPLOYEE BACK AND ALLOW HER AROUND CHILDREN ABSOULTY DISGUSTED!!!! BEWARE DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TOO THIS FACILTY!!!!!!!! ALL OTHER EMPLOYEES GREAT BUT 1 BAD APPLE RUINS THE BUNCH SO AT THIS POINT WE RATHER OUR SON KIT GET LEFT OUTSIDE AND FORGOTTEN COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE BUT YET THIS LADY KEEPS HER JOB JUST SAD ALMOST LIKE THEY WANT TOO ALLOW HER DUMBA** TO HARM SOMEONES CHILD!!
Update as of October 2024. Employee ended up quitting but we are still disappointed they brought her back. Ultimately we continued care here and we do like the facilty and staff but we haven't forgotten what happen. I guess we are somewhat more understanding now of the reasoning as to why they brought her back and legally why they had to. Ultimately in the end she is no longer there and our son loves Mrs Marsha she is amazing along with the other staff. I am a fair person and for these reasons and the long period in which we have delt with this facilty I am once again updating and chageing our review back to 4 stars simply because they still brought tori back although we understand why it's still left some bitter feelings. Otherwise great place and I would recommend them.

What a wonderful center.
My grandchildren have been attending the YMCA E.C.E.C Center since March 2021. The started there with basic knowledge of ABC's, colors, shapes, ECT. but the Their individual teachers paired with the educational Hatch Program they use at this center is amazing. The structure and daily schedule is just what they were craving. In August 2022 my grandson started kindergarten. On his progress report in Oct. 2022 it was determined that he scored at an almost 1st grade level with-in the first 2 months of kindergarten. I believe this is in great part to their amazing E.C.E.C Teacher's and The Hatch Program they use.
