Founded in 1986, Baby TALK’s mission is to positively impact child development by nurturing healthy and responsive relationships during the critical early years. Baby TALK does this by coming alongside ALL families. Baby TALK’s relationship-based approach with families, collaborators and professionals is the foundation of all aspects of our work. In addition to local programs accessible to Decatur-area families, Baby TALK is a research-based, evidence-based model implemented by more than 100 Baby TALK programs nationwide. Through the Baby TALK Learning Institute, program supervisors, family engagement specialists and home visitors learn how to effectively engage families using the proven Baby TALK Approach and Curriculum.
