  I had a very disappointing experience with Chesterbrook Academy in Champaign. I registered for a Summer Camp 2026 program and withdrew within the allowed time period, yet my $180 deposit has not been returned. What is even more concerning is that despite withdrawing, they continued to charge me monthly fees. This is completely unacceptable, especially since the program hasn’t even started yet. I have been contacting them almost every day for over a month, and I keep getting inconsistent responses with no clear resolution. This situation has caused me unnecessary stress, financial loss, and a huge waste of time. I am now genuinely worried they will continue charging my account again next month. A business handling children’s programs should be more responsible, transparent, and respectful toward families. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

  My husband and I enrolled our daughter at Chesterbrook when she was just 3 months old. As first time parents, we were nervous about the transition and choosing the right place. It’s not an easy thing to entrust your child to the care of others, but Chesterbrook made it easy. The teachers are so talented and caring. It’s a well organized place that feels like a big family. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

  I would like to shed light & positive feedback during "Teacher Appreciation" week! There are 4 Teachers I would like to highlight as I've had great positive experiences with caring for my child. In their own unique way & approach, I've always felt the nurturing, kind and positive teaching lessons that my child has experienced being around these teachers. THANK YOU: Ms. Aicha, Ms. Bellis, Ms. Jenkins & Ms. Far :-)

  My daughter has attended Chesterbrook in Research Park since she was 12 weeks old and this fall she will be starting Kindergarten there (ahead of the public school cutoff). We have had nothing but the most positive experiences at this school and will be incredibly sad to leave it next year. We chose it for the great facilities and proximity to campus, but grew to love it because of the amazing faculty and staff who have demonstrated genuine love and support for my child and our entire family. Teachers go out of their way to communicate with parents, provide information about what's happening in the classroom, and what they're observing in your child. I have found the curriculum to be a great balance between providing ample structure and learning activities and allowing for creative expression and play. It was important to us that our daughter learn and grow, of course, but also be given the freedom to be a kid. When you're thinking about the place and the people with whom your child is going to spend the majority of his/her week, security and peace of mind are priceless. We have always had that from Chesterbrook. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

  Both of our (very different) children have gone to Chesterbrook since they were 8 weeks old, and it's been fabulous for both of them. The teachers are so warm and inviting, and our kids have learned a lot. My son has already moved on to kindergarten and was reading well already. We have always felt that the facility was very safe, clean, and convenient, as well. Highly recommended!
