IN RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: I have called multiple times, over multiple occasions, during multiple months. I am done calling and being "handled". These pictures will do the talking for now. I am sorry that you can't keep people on staff, but that is not an excuse. Maybe you should make sure you are paying a living wage and you'd be able to keep staff on board. My grandpa and grandma handled their mobile butchering small business while managing their 40-acre farm for decades before being laid to rest in your care. I'm sure you and your staff can figure it out. It's been almost 9 months since my grandma left us! Your job is to respect her resting place. Every other cemetery seems to have a handle on it. And no, no one would have been able to fix the mistakes at the funeral ceremony regardless of when I brought them up. Did you expect me to stop the funeral and make everyone wait while I fixed your errors? You've screwed up. This business has disappointed and disgusted me. I have given them opportunity after opportunity to right their wrongs, but every time I turn around, the professionalism and effort that we paid for is not there. My grandma passed out of nowhere in November of 2022. Our family was destroyed, rocked to the very core! I was two weeks out from major surgery, otherwise I probably could have been more on top of the situation than I was, but I did my absolute best to help my mom and aunt. Cloverdale did not. We spent hundreds of dollars on flowers and the colors were wrong. They cut off the amazing ending of the gut-wrenching tribute video I made of my grandma’s life to honor her and say goodbye. The tech people just decided the video was done and pushed STOP instead of allowing it to play to the end. I was devastated, but things happen, we move on. We learn, we grow. I tried to let things go for my grandma’s sake, so she could rest in peace. Unfortunately, this business has been given multiple opportunities to make my grandma’s final resting place a beautiful space of tribute, love, and peace, but instead, they keep passing the buck and my grandma’s grave looks like an after thought that has been left to wane. Every time I go to the cemetery to respect my grandparents and get some healing, I leave more distraught than when I came in. It took EIGHT MONTHS to get the name plate and a replacement vase for the one they broke decades ago. I have gone to several funerals since my grandmother’s and every mortuary director I spoke with told me bronze name plates were out 2-3 months, NOT EIGHT! Regardless, today I went out and the name plate and vase were FINALLY there. HOWEVER, the grass is STILL dead!! I go at least once a month to check on things. NEVER, not once, NOT EVER has the grass been acceptable in any way. On Memorial Day, they threw on some new sod, but that’s already dead. I want my grandma’s grave restored, and I want it perfect. You have one job, burying people with dignity and respect, and my grandmother has received none! GET IT FIXED! I have attached multiple pictures from multiple trips. My other grandma passed away in April, and her grave in Boise already has grass grown in. That’s right, I lost both my grandmas within 5 months of each other. As you can surmise, my heart is completely shattered, so my patience for this issue is gone.

Frequently Asked Questions About Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens

When I call, will someone come right away?

If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good-bye, that’s perfectly acceptable. Your funeral director will come when your time is right.

Should I choose Burial or Cremation?

Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together. A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.
