Im not really sure this is the correct church I want to review. But, I am very very disappointed in Bishop Michael ...... (not sure of that name yet) and his congregation. (church on or near 12th street in Idaho Falls). As Mormons we believe in the promises with God (covenants), and practicing Christlike love and service. This bishop was no where near Christlike. He should be ashamed. His congregation involved should be ashamed. Members of the Church believe in helping individuals and families fulfill the commandments to love God and to love your neighbor. Members do so by living the gospel of Jesus Christ, caring for those in need, inviting all to receive the gospel, and uniting families through family history and temple work. and yet, when my elderly sister, who has been devoted to the Mormon church since she was a small child,( and paid tithing even when she had trouble paying her bills,) needed assistance, we saw the true colors of the people at the church she called for assistance. Both she and her husband are elderly and mentally and physically handicapped. They violated her civil rights, secluded her and her husband in separate rooms while they 'assisted' her in getting packed to put stuff in storage, being ILLEGALLY evicted in 3 days, and they threw away a lot of her belongings, including an urn with the ashes of her precious cat. The bishop had given her a 'blessing' which consisted of "Listen to God, and dont ask your neighbors for help, they have problems of their own." He also told that neighbor not to help them, although it was in his heart to do so. Really?!!! Is this the church you want to belong to??? I am disgusted and this review is just the beginning. As soon as her emotional distress is under control and this situation calm, I will get an accurate list of names and details. Then hang on, they will receive reckoning by the will of God, via the law.
