Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.
The temple and its grounds are frequently described as beautiful, with many visitors praising the stunning architecture and landscaping.

The visitor center is noted as a welcoming space for all, providing informative tours and interactive displays, although access to the temple itself is limited to church members.

This temple is a place of pure peace. Surrounded by natural beauty, the Laie Hawaii Temple teaches me that God’s house is a refuge from the world. Inside, we make covenants that help us follow Christ more fully and serve our ancestors with love. I always leave feeling calm, grateful, and spiritually refreshed.
