The Kahului Hawaii Temple was announced in October 2023, by President Russell M. Nelson as the first temple on the island of Maui. The temple is currently in the planning and approval phase. A groundbreaking date has not yet been announced. Plans call for a single-story temple of 19,000 square feet with an accompanying ancillary building.

- RRRyanMar 2, 20263.0Quick message for the adults in the room: leave the kids at home (they’re not allowed inside, and quite frankly, they’re disruptive), make sure your undergarments don’t have any visible stains on them (you’ll be able to see them through the temple clothes), and for the love of all that is holy don’t forget to pay 10% of your income to keep your temple recommend (it’s like a Costco membership card) valid and ready to go. It’s not that hard, people. Pay your 10%, get card, and provide salvation to the deceased.
