Probably the most beautiful Mormon chapel I've been to. I had the pleasure of attending two different congregations while I was visiting for work; the Manoa and Makiki wards. The fast and testimony sacrament meeting at the Manoa ward was enjoyable. Before the Makiki ward, a lady greeted me and made me feel very welcomed. This was greatly appreciated as I'm sure they get TONS of visitors every Sunday.
But as enjoyable as the first hour was, it's the second hour where the magic happens! In the Manoa ward Sunday school, Brother Wong gave an excellent Christ centered lesson and we followed it up with a great discussion and found out we had a friend in common. Small world! In the Makiki Ward men's group (aka Elder's Quorum) we had a lively discussion about the light of Christ and how we can appreciate and reach out to those of other faiths more effectively. I stayed after again and had an excellent chat with Brother Scott D. I'm always grateful to enjoy a brotherhood with fellow men trying their best to follow the example of Jesus Christ.
I feel blessed for the experiences I had and spirit I felt while visiting the chapel. If you want to increase your understanding of Christ's atonement and develop a more genuine relationship with Him and your Heavenly Father, this is a must-do activity while visiting the area.
